CompareOptions trading toolsUpdated September 2026
I've previously used tools like OptionVue and OptionNetExplorer, but I can clearly say that ORATS operates on a completely different level in terms of data depth and usability.
ORATS backtests any US-optionable name on institutional-grade daily data since 2007, and adds a scanner and volatility analytics.
Option Omega backtests 12 tickers on one-minute data.
Option Omega details are from their public pages, read on September 29, 2026.

Option Omega prices as of September 29, 2026.
Annual billing lowers Lite, Essential, Plus, and Premium to $24.99, $49.99, $74.99, and $249.99 a month.
Yes, ORATS. Option Omega backtests 12 tickers: SPX, SPY, QQQ, IWM, AAPL, AMZN, GLD, MSFT, NVDA, TLT, TSLA, and IBIT. It excludes XSP from backtests, which it says has historically been too illiquid to model realistically. ORATS backtests any US-listed optionable name on daily data since 2007, and about 140 of the most-traded names with weekly options on one-minute data since October 2020.
Not that we found: there is no scanner on Option Omega's site, in its docs, or in its app. ORATS Trading Tools includes an option scanner ranked by theoretical edge and a stock scanner with 700+ indicators.
No. Option Omega's docs state that no paper trading is available. ORATS Trading Tools includes paper trading that simulates assignment at expiration.
$29.99 to $299.99 a month. Lite ($29.99) is payoff modeling only, Essential ($99.99) is backtesting, Plus ($129.99) is both, and Premium ($299.99) adds automated trading. Annual billing is $24.99 to $249.99 a month. It offers a 7-day free trial on every tier, and all purchases are non-refundable. ORATS Trading Tools is $99 a month, about the price of Essential billed monthly, and backtests any US-optionable name on daily data and about 140 on one-minute data, rather than 12 tickers, with a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours.
